Some thoughts

It's such a relief when someone understands you bc they've had the same experiences or have to deal with the same thing(s).

They not only make you feel validated but they absolutely relate without having to explain to them what or how you're feeling. 

It takes away the self consciousness and worry you won't be accepted, believed or understood. 

It also helps you accept, believe and understand yourself. 

'Life is all about finding people who are your kind of crazy.'

'From the outside looking in you can never understand it; from the inside looking out you can never explain it' 

Sometimes I surprise myself

The sunrise picture I took on Percy Priest last Saturday was chosen as one of 40 or so pictures in an Instacanvas photo challenge. I didn't make it to the top eight but it's pretty cool to have been chosen. 

The black n white picture of Steve at Percy Priest was picked as the favorite shot of the day by bnw_tennessee.

Finally, evidently I did a decent job editing a photo taken by another Instagrammer. I got a nice comment from the person who shot the pic and a few other nice remarks by ppl I think take some excellent photos. 

Not used to that sort of thing. You know, the being recognized as being good at something sort of thing. Nice

Hate all the Hate

I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this.  Let's be honest, and if you can't I will, whether it's a racist, a member of the Westboro baptist church or other religious zealot, an abusive spouse, child abuser, gay basher, or any other ignorant, hate filled, mean, intolerant dick, I would love to have the forum and guts to do something like this. 

This guy and those like him, probably won't feel any shame or embarrassment but Maybe this will F up his world for a little bit. 

Please don't say anything about this dick's right to free speech. He can say what he wants, that's not my point. (Better to wear your hate on the outside anyway bc I will know to stay away from you.)

My point is, while I'm far from perfect or free from prejudice, and certainly have given into stereotypes, I'm sick and tired of the hate. 

Here's something to consider. What if we try and learn about those different from us and maybe even befriend/love/like just one person who practices a different religion, has a different skin color, or loves someone of the same gender. It's much harder to universally hate when you open your mind and heart to just one somebody who is different than you. Just one. 

We can still keep our convictions, our religious beliefs, and moral code. But we can keep them without all of the hate and a lot more understanding. 

We should all probably stop watching the news too bc the media sure as hell is making a LOT of money keeping us divided by stirring the sensational pot of shit they call news.
