When I travel I like to eat Ice Cream

More specifically I like to try different local ice cream parlors (of course). In OH there are a few I've tried - one of them is Handles.

Whenever we come and visit Grandma, Uncle Don & Aunt Barb, we make at least one trip to Handles. Two trips if we aren't following the diet too closely.

Black Cherry Ice cream with Black Cherries as big as your head was the treat last night. Mmmm pretty much sums it up. But next time I'm going to try Spouse Like a House - some concoction of pretzels and peanut butter - I tried a sample b/c I loved the name - it was DEEE-licious.

Rut Be Damned

I've been in a musical rut lately (the last 20 years). Nothing on XM interests me - if I hear one more Ratt Song on Hair Nation I'll scream. I haven't been in love with any band since GnR in '89 sad to say. I've liked some a lot but it hasn't been the same.

In an effort to end the dry spell I picked up Jacob Dylan's latest CD (came out June of last year that's how up to date I am) and Chris Cornell's Scream CD over the weekend. And I plan on getting Better than Ezra's new one in a few weeks when it comes out. Hopefully there's some inspiration there.

In the meantime I put together a random favorites CD and I'm loving it. I listened to it today on the way to work and just so happened to get stuck in traffic so I listened to all of it and I felt so good when I got into work. I also channeled Joe Cocker while belting out Never Been To Spain - Three Dog Night's version. It happened too while listening to this song that a man in a beat up pick up truck drove by and he had long shaggy hair and a long moustache and I yelled out the window "THREE DOG" (sorta like Freebird but not).

Play List
1. Sunday Morning Coming Down - Shawn Mullins

2. Heavenly Day - Patti Griffin
3. I Believe in You- Don Williams
4. Never Been to Spain - Three Dog Night
5. The Story - Brandy Carlile
6. Jessie's Girl - Rick Springfield
7. Don't Stop Believin' - Journey
8. Solid Gold - Mark Chesnutt
9. Eastbound Down - Jerry Reed
10. Rocket Queen - GnR
11. Santa Monica - Everclear
12. Paradise City - GnR

Sometimes

Sometimes I go to the mailbox to check the mail and if there isn't anything good in it I put the mail back in the box, shut the door and go back in the house.

The Misadventures of Flat Stanley and Two Gassy Bitches

Steve and I have been entrusted with the care of Flat Stanley (a paper doll).

Skylar and his classmates made their own Flat Stanley's and sent him to friends and family. We've been asked to take him around and show him the sights and sounds of where we live, what we do, etc. but to be careful b/c he was afraid of fire and scissors - he's paper see...get it? Fire, scissors...haha...

Today Flat Stanley had a great time with me and Mom (the two gassy bitches) in Bell Buckle TN.
Webb Prep Building - Where Flat Stan will spend his formative years - before college

What I want on my tombstone ~ These two pics won't be going to Skylar's class

Above: can you spot Flat Stan?

If you go to Bell Buckle you MUST eat at the Bell Buckle Cafe ~ The food was amazing - and so was the grits strawberry shortcake above.

Flat Stan wooed the lovely ladies at this table - He got Thelma's digits

Breakin' my heart

Mr. Bugg told me tonight about a new breed of dog - a cross between a pug and a boston terrier - they are called...wait for it...BUGG's. Check out the cuteness above. I want one so bad it brings tears to my eyes.
